Nigel threatens to ‘deport’ Meghan Markle after Cotswolds move

Nigel Farage has threatened to “deport” Meghan Markle if he ever became Prime Minister, following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s reported move to the Cotswolds.

The Reform UK leader made the remarks during an appearance on The Benny Show, where he discussed Prince Harry and Meghan’s return to Britain after several years living in California.

According to Nigel Farage, jokes he’ll ‘deport’ Meghan if he becomes Prime Minister, Mr Farage was critical of the couple’s conduct in recent years.

He told the programme: “The behaviour of Meghan and Harry has been an absolute disgrace.

“Now they’re back in the UK living here for who knows how long, and somehow, I can’t help it, I almost now begin to feel a bit sorry for Harry because it’s the classic tale of the weak man and the strong woman.”

The article states that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to the Cotswolds with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at the end of August, six years after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family.

Despite his criticism, Mr Farage said he had sympathy for Prince Harry and suggested the royal had made a poor personal decision.

He said: “He was the most popular royal for 100 years. People loved him!”

Mr Farage added: “I think he’s made a bad life choice. I can’t wish him ill because we all get things wrong from time to time. I hope he sorts it out.”

His “deport” comment, reported as such in GB News, came during a light-hearted exchange with host Benny Johnson, who joked that Americans were happy for Meghan to remain in Britain.

Responding, Mr Farage laughed: “You might get her back. You might get her back if I’m in charge.”
