Man sentenced after assaulting woman in Worcester

A MAN has been sentenced after he assaulted a woman in Worcester.

Joshua Khalique, 26, admitted to injuring the woman during an incident, which took place in the city last month.

He appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 1, where he pleaded guilty to the single count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Khalique, of no fixed abode in Birmingham, was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 24 months due to the “seriousness of this offence”.

He was also ordered to pay £400 in compensation.
