American wine tasting evening will support disadvantaged children

A wine tasting evening is set to raise funds for a children’s rugby charity.

Wooden Spoon’s Worcestershire branch is hosting the “American Day of Wine Dependance” at Bottles Wine Bar in Worcester on Thursday, July 2, offering a relaxed evening of wine, food, and music in support of disadvantaged children.

Tickets are priced at £50 per person and include wine and food.

Guests will be treated to a selection of American and English wines, paired with food, and accompanied by a live band and a cash raffle.

Wooden Spoon chairman Vince Hopkins said: “This will be an enjoyable and interesting evening as guests will get the opportunity to taste a selection of wines from both sides of the Atlantic – comparing grape varieties from the USA with our own home-grown varieties, plus pairings.

“Anyone is welcome to attend. Funds raised will directly contribute towards Wooden Spoon’s projects to improve the lives of disadvantaged children locally.”
