A POPULAR city centre café has reopened a week after eviction notices were placed on its windows.
Good Roots, at The Porcelain Works in Severn Street, Worcester, is back open for business, having opened up for half a day today (June 25), with plans to open for a full day tomorrow (June 26).
On June 24, the cafe’s official Facebook page posted: “After a crazy week we’ve sorted things out and we’re back home!
“Open tomorrow from 8am serving coffee and cake until midday due to the heat.
“(The) kitchen will be closed so the chefs can get ready for full service Friday.
“We have been overwhelmed with the support and can’t wait to see your lovely faces.
“SPREAD THE GOODVIBES!”
Worcester News contacted Good Roots for clarification over the temporary closure but the manager was unavailable to comment at this time.
Temporary closure of Good Roots
Signs were posted in the window last week stating the landlord had “re-entered and taken possession of the premises in accordance with the Landlord’s power to do so.”
It added: “Any attempt by you or your agents to enter the premises may result in criminal/civil proceedings being taken against you.”

At the time, the Good Roots Facebook page posted: “Don’t worry we’ll be back very soon.”
Following the temporary closure notices, Worcester News approached both Good Roots and Royal Porcelain Works for comment but did not receive a response ahead of publication.
