Police appeal to residents to volunteer to spot speeding motorists

WEST Mercia Police is on the lookout for residents who may want to help them catch speeding drivers.

Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team is looking for at least six volunteers in Chawson who will help improve road safety by catching drivers with speed cameras.

A spokesperson for Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Chawson residents to become part of the community speed watch scheme.

“If you are passionate about your area and have concerns regarding speeding in Chawson, this is an opportunity to make a difference and improve road safety locally.

“Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to send an email to their local policing team.
