SOME big names have been confirmed for the inaugural Blitz Golf England Series in Worcestershire.
Westlife’s Brian McFadden, former Manchester United star Lee Sharpe and ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard are set to compete in the short-format golf league.
The touring event, which visits the Gaudet Luce Golf Club in Droitwich on June 21, 2026, will feature elite golf, celebrities, and live entertainment.
Blitz Golf, which is akin to the fast-paced innovation seen in T-20 cricket, condenses traditional tournament play into a three-hour knockout competition.
The format includes progressive elimination rounds, multiple cuts, sudden-death shootouts and a purpose-built Stadium Hole for a finals-style atmosphere.

The series will also see participation from Australian cricketers D’Arcy Short and Glenn Maxwell, musician Locky Rudimental, and comedian Conor Moore.
A host of DP World Tour players, LET stars, and emerging golf talent will also join the line-up.
These include Richard Mansell, Joe Dean, Brandon Robinson-Thompson, Daniel Young, Matias Sanchez, Austin Bautista, Whitney Hillier, and leading influencer Lucy Robson.
Blitz Golf, established in 2018, arrives in England after a successful Australian summer, where four events attracted more than 10,000 spectators.
The league aims to transform golf, a sport once seen as reserved for the elite, into an accessible, high-energy spectacle.

Beyond the tournament, each England Series stop will deliver a festival atmosphere, including live music, DJs, interactive fan zones, and premium hospitality experiences.
The event at Gaudet Luce Golf Club is part of a four-event series also visiting Leeds, London and Lincoln.
The West Midlands event will take place on June 21 from 3pm to 6pm.
The series will kick off at Leeds Golf Centre on June 14, followed by Gaudet Luce Golf Club, then Bush Hill Park Golf Club in London on June 26, and Lincoln Golf Club on June 28.
Blitz Golf CEO, Simon Zybek, said: “England is one of golf’s spiritual homes, so bringing Blitz here is a landmark moment for our Global Series.
“We’re not replacing traditional golf; we’re complementing it with a high-stakes, accessible format built for today’s fans.”
