A BIRD of prey that travels up to 65mph was spotted chasing an insect on Worcestershire lake.
The Eurasian Hobby, also known as Hobby, was captured by Worcester News Camera Club member Paul Gruffalo Turner.
The photographer said the bird was chasing a dragonfly when he captured the moment at Kemerton Lake yesterday (September 14).

Paul Gruffalo Turner said: “Anyone who has spent time photographing the Hobby will know how difficult and frustrating they are.
“Just keeping them in the lens is a challenge, so I’m pretty buzzing to get this amazing split second in time shot of this beautiful male hunting at incredible speed and dexterity.
“The dragonfly is just out of the frame.
“I took lots of shots of just the water and missed the bird but feel extremely lucky to get this shot.”
What is a Eurasian Hobby?
Hobby Falcons are birds of prey that can look a bit like giant swifts.
They are about the same size as a kestrel and are known for their quick flight when chasing large insects or small birds.
The bird can fly up to 65mph during a chase.
