Several pubs in Worcestershire and the West Midlands have been named among the top 500 pubs in the country, according to The Telegraph.
The expert guide produced by The Telegraph features a list of the best 500 pubs in England as well as the top 75 in Scotland, 50 in Wales and 25 in Northern Ireland.
On this year’s list, The Coach and Horses in Weatheroak Hill was rated among the best for Worcestershire.
In the Telegraph, reviewer Will Hawkes described the pub as a “sizeable property, inside and out, run by the Meads family since the late 1960s”.
The highlights included the original bar with its tiled floors and open fire.
There was also praise for the pub’s brewery, which has been supplying its beer for more than 20 years.
Other pubs in Worcestershire included The Mug House in Claines, The Galton Arms in Droitwich and The Mason Arms in Wadborough, which was described as having “something for everyone”.

For Warwickshire, The Turks Head in Alcester also made the prestigious list.
Expert reviewer Will Hawkes wrote in The Telegraph that it is a “lively modern pub” and the garden is a “sun trap”.
He said: “When I visited on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy with a varied crowd from cricket-loving pals to family and old timers out for an afternoon drink.”
Several West Midlands pubs also made the list, including The Vine Inn in Brierley Hill, The Beacon Hotel in Sedgley, The Old Swan Inn in Netherton, The Unicorn in Wollaston and The Robin Hood Inn in Amblecote, which was described as the “best of the town’s pubs in terms of atmosphere and beer”.
