A MAN from Worcestershire was arrested at an anti-immigration protest and counter demonstration in Brighton.
The 44-year-old was apprehended on suspicion of common assault and conditionally bailed until July 14.
Seven other people were arrested for alleged offences including assaulting a police officer, racially or religiously aggravated harassment and drug possession.

The ‘Stop The Boats’ protest on Saturday attracted an estimated 300 people while a counter-protest by Carnival Against Fascism drew around 4,000 attendees, according to Sussex Police.
A group called South East Patriots organised the anti-immigration march calling for tighter border controls and the deportation of illegal immigrants.
Bella Sankey, leader of Brighton & Hove City Council, said “we utterly reject the hatred and division of the far-right.”
