Business support hub launches integrated workforce platform

A Worcester business support hub has launched a new platform to improve HR and payroll management.

Hive Support Services Ltd has successfully launched the first phase of WorkBee, an integrated HR, payroll, and workforce management platform.

The platform, powered by Dayforce, is now operational in nine client organisations.

The launch is part of a strategic investment by Hive Support Services to modernise people operations, offering a more connected and data-driven workforce experience for both clients and employees.

In the face of increasing operational complexities, the platform aims to streamline HR, payroll, and workforce management into a single system.

This integration is designed to improve efficiency and enhance visibility, supporting more informed decision-making throughout the employee lifecycle.

The successful launch is a significant milestone in Hive Support Services’ broader digital transformation strategy.

It demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to providing scalable, technology-enabled solutions that improve operational performance and employee experience.

With businesses facing mounting pressure from rising employment costs, increased statutory sick pay (SSP) expenditure, and growing absence management challenges, the need for integrated workforce data and real-time operational insight is growing.

WorkBee provides organisations with greater visibility of workforce trends and costs, enabling more proactive and informed decision-making.

Michelle O’Connor, chief people officer and company director at Hive Support Services Ltd, said: “WorkBee is more than a technology implementation, it is a strategic transformation in how we support our clients and their workforce.

“By integrating HR, Payroll and WFM into a single platform, we are creating a more streamlined and connected experience that supports agility, efficiency and future growth.”

The launch was achieved through collaboration between Hive’s HR and payroll specialists, operational teams, and client champions.

To mark the completion of phase one, Hive Support Services held a WorkBee-themed celebration event for the teams involved.

The organisation is now preparing for the next phase of the WorkBee rollout, which will expand the platform to support a further 6,000 client employees.

Hive Support Services offers a wide range of tailored support across people solutions, marketing and design, IT, business development, commercial support, and strategic consultancy.
