WATCH the moment motorists passed within a few yards of a van as it was engulfed in flames on the hard shoulder of the M5.
The footage was captured by a passing car on the M5 near junction 4 (Bromsgrove) on Thursday afternoon (July 2).
The video shows a large van consumed by flames as black smoke poured into the sky.
Flames can also be seen spreading onto the grass verge which borders the motorway.

The fire is the second serious incident reported on the M5 in Worcestershire today.
At around 2pm, two vans crashed into the central reservation of the motorway between junctions 7 and 8.
Delays of 100 minutes have been reported for motorists heading northbound towards Worcester.
