As of Tuesday afternoon (April 14), the M5 and other major roads in Worcestershire had not been affected by any such protests.

West Mercia Police has said it is not currently aware of any planned protests in the area this week.

“We are not aware of any in our force area,” a spokesperson said.

Posts have been shared on Facebook about the planned protests against fuel prices rising.

The posts list several other major roads and routes across the UK where potential protests are reportedly planned, including M5/M4.

It comes after protesters began slow-moving convoys and outright stoppages on major motorways in Ireland last week.
