Man to appear in court after £200k ‘went missing’ from Scouts

A MAN will appear in court after £200,000 allegedly went missing from Scouts funds.

Robert Sidley, 46, has been charged with fraud by abuse of position after the Hereford and Worcester Scouts Association reported the missing funds earlier this year.

The group cancelled a trip to Canada, which was to be funded with the money.

West Mercia Police confirmed on Wednesday, August 26 that a man had been charged.

Sidley, of Henry Street in Worcester, is due to appear at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 22.
