More wet weather is expected this weekend in Worcestershire as the dry spell across the county was brought to an end by heavy downpours.
The Met Office has forecast rain on both Saturday (August 29) and Sunday (August 30).
Worcester is expected to see rain from 7am to 7pm on Saturday, while more showers are likely from 12pm on Sunday until 2am on Monday.
A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms is in place over the county for a third consecutive day, and will be lifted at 9pm tonight.
This follows a storm that caused flooding on roads around Worcestershire on Thursday.
Between 10pm on Wednesday, August 26, and 1pm on Thursday, August 27, 34mm of rainfall was recorded at the Hartlebury rainfall gauge, more than half the expected rainfall in an average August in Worcestershire (61.3mm).
However, due to the unusually dry first few weeks, the recorded rainfall is still far below the expected amount for the month.
Thanks to the extensive downpours, the Environment Agency warned two areas to expect flooding, while flooding was possible in more than two dozen areas in the Midlands.
Flood warnings were issued for Smestow Brook at Hinksford, in the West Midlands, and Tanyard Stream at Kenilworth, in Warwickshire.
Most of the alerts, including both warnings, were lifted this morning.
