A WORCESTER teenager is raising funds to take part in a life-changing expedition to Borneo.
Thirteen-year-old Leo Reynolds has been selected for a four-week Camp International trip in 2028, where he will support conservation and community projects.
Leo’s journey will focus on protecting endangered wildlife, restoring habitats and helping local communities.
The teenager, who attends Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College, has already paid his deposit with support from family and friends but still needs to raise more money to cover the full cost of the trip.
Determined to raise the funds himself, Leo plans to organise two years of community events, including cake sales, raffles, car washes, and sponsored activities.
Leo said: “This expedition is something I am incredibly excited about, as it will challenge me, help me grow as a person and give me experiences that I will carry with me throughout my life.”
Leo’s mum, Emily Reynolds said: “We are so proud of how hard Leo is working towards this opportunity.
“This expedition will help him build confidence, independence, resilience and valuable life skills while making a real difference to people and wildlife.
“Every donation, share and word of encouragement means so much to him.”
He is also seeking sponsorship, raffle prizes, or donations from local businesses and organisations.
Supporters can donate or contact the family via Leo’s GoFundMe page (https://tinyurl.com/3psxf7y5).
