A wine bar in Bewdley has launched a brand-new pantry and gourmet food shop.
Amphora Wine Bar, located at 70 Load Street in Bewdley, has officially opened Amphora Pantry & Deli, giving local foodies the chance to take a piece of the venue’s popular experience home.
The launch follows months of anticipation after the business first joined the riverside town’s independent food and drink scene, making waves with its hidden “secret garden” wine bar pop-ups.
The new space shines a spotlight on independent producers from across the country.
Owner Sarah Scriver said: “We feature predominately British brands and other small businesses.
“We have tasty charcuterie from Ireland, jams from Yorkshire, biscuits made in Scotland, and one of our favourites is pasta from the Northern Pasta Co in Cumbria, made from British Spelt in fun shapes and pretty packaging.
“We also have the red onion chutney, olives and pickles from our popular cheeseboards available in shop to take home.”
Among the shelves, shoppers can find specialty lines including artisan pasta, gourmet sauces, olives, balsamic vinegars, and curated cookbooks.
The refrigerated display features a wide range English and international cheeses. Wines by the bottle will also be available once licensing is finalized for the shop.
Ms Scriver shared her excitement for the venue’s evolution within the vibrant community, praising the warm reception from the Bewdley public.
She said: “We feel so fortunate to have received such an overwhelmingly positive response to our Amphora Wine Bar pop-up events from locals, visitors, and the other independent businesses.
“So many of you have joined us in the past few weeks and we are very grateful.”
The pantry is currently open from 10am to 6pm Wednesday to Sunday, while the main wine bar continues to welcome guests to the vibrant garden through frequent pop ups, in advance of their grand opening.
