AN ‘established brunch spot in Worcester’ is set to be the new tenant taking over the site of a prominent café following its exit.
The current home of GoodRoots at Worcester Porcelain Works won’t remain empty for long after it was revealed that new tenants are already lined up to take over the venue.
The Bransford Trust has confirmed a café with a strong reputation in Worcester is earmarked to take over the building at Worcester Porcelain Works.
GoodRoots will leave the site on October 31 after six years in Diglis following news that the trust will not renew its lease.

Colin Kinnear of The Bransford Trust said: “The Royal Porcelain Works has always been a place for the community, and we want the site to reflect that.
“Securing a brunch cafe that shares our values, alongside our conversations with a local artisan bakery and investment in the courtyard, is about building a destination people are proud of and want to return to.
“We look forward to sharing more details very soon.”
GoodRoots had been a staple on Severn Street for six years and had become a regular stop-off point for walkers and visitors arriving in Worcester.

Mr Wheatley said: “GoodRoots has been such a huge part of my life for the past six years, so I’m absolutely heartbroken that we’re having to close.
“Owning my own business was always my dream, and GoodRoots has also provided a livelihood for me and my three young girls.
“We’ve built far more than just a café—we’ve created a place where people come together, friendships are made, and the community feels at home.”
GoodRoots has launched a petition urging The Bransford Trust to allow the café to remain on site, and customers have been encouraged to share their memories.

The Bransford Trust, a Worcestershire-based charity, gave GoodRoots 17 months’ notice of its decision not to renew the lease.
A spokesperson for the trust said it had instructed solicitors to finalise the lease with the new tenant, describing them as having a “strong reputation for quality food, warm service and genuine community focus.”
The trust also revealed it is in advanced talks with an artisan bakery to occupy a second building on the site.
The Bransford Trust is planning a programme of renovations and improvements across the Royal Porcelain Works, in conjunction with the Museum of Royal Worcester and The Henry Sandon Hall.
These include remodelling the courtyard to create a more flexible, welcoming space for events such as seasonal markets, community gatherings and cultural programming.
The Bransford Trust owns part of the former Royal Porcelain Works site, which it restored from dilapidation, and now houses a mix of commercial tenants and community facilities.
