AN award-winning hotel which only reopened earlier this year has secured a huge £10 million refinancing deal.
Dumbleton Hall, a 34-bedroom country house hotel near Evesham, reopened in April following an extensive renovation and has already attracted national attention.
Pallas Capital has now completed a £10million refinance of the hotel, with the funding set to support the business as it continues to build trade following its reopening.

Set within 16 acres of grounds, Dumbleton Hall underwent a major refurbishment which saw its number of rooms reduced from 38 to 34 to create larger suites.

All of its bedrooms are located inside the main house, while plans are also being developed for additional Woodland and Garden Lodges.
The hotel has already earned a place in the 2026 Michelin Guide and Condé Nast Traveller’s guide to the best hotels in the Cotswolds.
It was also shortlisted for Best New Hotel at the Boutique Hotelier Awards 2026.

Jamie Peacham, senior underwriter at Pallas Capital, said the lender had looked beyond the figures when considering the deal.
He said: “Dumbleton Hall Hotel has a long and varied history, having evolved through many chapters over the years.
“As with any property of this character and heritage, the paperwork only tells part of the story.
“Pallas looked beyond the figures, taking the time to understand both the property and the vision behind its future growth.”
Paul Vezolles, sponsor, described the refinancing as an “important milestone” for Dumbleton Hall.

He said: “We’ve built on the hall’s extraordinary heritage to create a place guests absolutely love and want to return to.

“The response since reopening has been exceptional, from guests and from the industry.”
Deepak Drubhra, co-founder of Westfort Advisors, said financing a hotel during its first year of trading can be challenging because lenders have a limited track record on which to base their decisions.
He added: “Dumbleton Hall has quickly established itself, and Pallas were able to take comfort from early trading performance and the strength of the management and operator.”
What is the history of Dumbleton Hall?
Built in 1830, the manor has a rich history as a salon for intellect and creativity.
It once welcomed notable figures including Elizabeth Gaskell, Charles Darwin, and Charles Dickens.
Later, under the Eyres-Monsell family, guests included the Mitford sisters and John Betjeman.
During the Second World War, it served as accommodation for the Women’s Land Army before becoming a hotel in the years that followed.
