Over two dozen emergency Sleep Pods have been donated to support rough sleepers in Worcester.
Homelessness charity Maggs Day Centre, Deansway, received 27 Sleep Pods following a team-building event hosted by EML Team Building for digital supply company Team Blue
The pods were constructed by the company’s employees during a challenge.
Jon Huggett, managing director at EML Team Building, said: “We are always delighted when clients choose a Corporate Social Responsibility event for their team building sessions.
“This activity gives back to people in the community who, for whatever reason, are not fortunate enough to have a place called home.
“It’s not a permanent solution but the Sleep Pods will help someone in need right now – not tomorrow or the next day.
“As autumn and winter draw near these waterproof and warm shelters are invaluable to someone who just needs some help.”

Sleep Pods are lightweight, insulated emergency shelters intended to provide extra protection from cold and wet weather for those with no choice but to sleep outdoors.
EML Team Building uses projects like this to demonstrate how traditional team-building days can be transformed into activities with real community impact.
Caroline Copeman, head of HR at team.blue, said: “The highlight today was just the awareness of sleeping pods and how it affects so many homeless people.
“Just by doing something as simple as building these pods, it can really help them live a better life.”

Maggs Day Centre supports people experiencing homelessness or vulnerability across Worcestershire, helping them access essential services and move toward more stable living situations.
Melissa Blewitt, fundraising, communications, and relationships manager at Maggs Day Centre, welcomed the donation.
She said: “A huge thank you to everyone at Team Blue and EML for thinking of Maggs.
“27 sleep pods is an incredibly generous offer, and we’re really grateful.”
