Peter Doherty to perform with legendary Smiths drummer at Worcestershire venue

Some of the biggest names in British alternative music are set to perform in Kidderminster.

The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman Peter Doherty will perform at Kidderminster Town Hall on February 11, 2027, as part of his Joyce, Jones, DeVidas, Neary & Moore Tour.

He will be joined on stage by a band featuring some of the most influential names in British alternative music.

Curtis Fudge, business manager and programmer at Kidderminster Town Hall, said: “It’s a huge honour to announce this show. Discussions started back in June 2025, so finally being able to share the news feels like a real relief.

“Peter is another huge name for the town, and to welcome him alongside musicians with such incredible backgrounds makes this particularly special.

“We can’t wait to see this line-up on our stage.”

Doherty will be joined by Mike Joyce, drummer of The Smiths; Jack Jones, frontman of Trampolene and member of Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres; Katia de Vidas, keyboard player with The Puta Madres; Mark Neary, who has worked with Baxter Dury; and Mike Moore, guitarist and musical director for Liam Gallagher and producer of Doherty’s solo album Felt Better Alive.

As co-frontman of The Libertines and frontman of Babyshambles, Doherty has played a major role in shaping British guitar music, earning acclaim for his poetic lyrics, distinctive vocals and melodic style.

His solo work blends folk, indie and acoustic influences, with his 2025 album Felt Better Alive continuing that direction.

Tickets are priced at £32.50 and will be available from 10am on Friday (November 6) via the Kidderminster Town Hall website at www.kidderminstertownhall.org.uk

The show offers audiences the opportunity to experience one of British music’s most distinctive songwriters and an exceptional band in the intimate surroundings of Kidderminster Town Hall.
