TRAVELLERS have moved on from an encampment on land owned by a private school in Worcester.
The large group left Battenhall Playing Fields, off Battenhall Road, “in one big convoy”, a resident said.
On social media, other locals also reported that the group had left the land belonging to The King’s School this afternoon.
The travellers had been occupying the site after finding their way past a padlocked gate on Saturday.

The school issued a ‘notice to trespassers’ on Sunday, giving the group four hours to leave or face further action including the involvement of enforcement agents.
One resident, who asked not to be named, said: “They left at 3.30pm in a big convoy of vans, caravans, expensive Range Rovers and cars.
“We’re just glad to have the peace and quiet back after having the presence of the travellers who were there incorrectly for four days.”

The resident and others had complained of noise, dangerous driving and intimidatory behaviour during the travellers’ stay.
At least 15 caravans, camper vans and associated vehicles had been present on the playing fields.
A spokesperson for the school said earlier today that it was taking “immediate steps” to resolve the situation on its grounds.
West Mercia Police Safer Neighbourhood Officers had been monitoring the situation.
