A rising star has been shortlisted for a top industry award.
Emily Newman, director at Jane Newman Financial Planning (JNFP), is a finalist for the Rising Star Award at the 2026 Financial Reporter Broker’s Choice Awards.

Ms Newman joined the firm in 2018 and has built a strong reputation within the financial planning sector.

The recognition reflects consistently positive client feedback, as well as her attention to detail, professionalism and customer-focused approach.
She is currently working towards chartered status as she continues to progress her career within the family business.
The Rising Star Award highlights those with fewer than three years of experience who demonstrate exceptional promise.
This year’s awards received a record number of entries across all categories, making it the most competitive to date.
The Financial Reporter Broker’s Choice Awards celebrate excellence throughout the industry, including brokers, lenders, rising stars, and leaders who are raising standards and driving progress.
The awards have a rigorous judging process with input from a 20,000-strong broker voting panel.
The winner of the Rising Star Award will be announced at the awards ceremony on June 9 at Diecast, Manchester.
