Harry’s father Lewis Moss said the pain of his losing his son continues to have a profound effect on him, describing it as “the worst possible nightmare”.

“The pain everyday is something that can’t be described,” he said

“Bills still need to be paid and you have to go to work and fit back into things but everything has changed.

“A year on, every day still hurts like the first.”

He said the long wait for answers about what happened to the teenager is something that continues to weigh heavily on the family.

“I have had to shut my brain off from it completely,” Mr Moss said.

“We don’t even know what happened to him. I don’t want anyone rushing anything of course but there’s a family behind this.”

Hollie McMurray, Harry’s mother, said she is also struggling with the lack of closure amid “speculation” about what might have happened.

“It’s a lot to deal with and there’s been no closure,” she said. “At the moment, anything that is said is speculation.

“It’s very difficult having to face the thought of reliving it all through coroner’s reports.”

To mark one year since his death, both parents have paid tribute to the teenager, who was known for his love of farming, rugby and fishing.

They have both expressed immense pride in their son, pointing to his sense of dedication and his selfless nature.

“Everyday I imagine the man that he would have become,” Mr Moss said.

“When he loved something, he gave it everything, he wanted to be brilliant at it.

“The world was that boy’s oyster.

“The things people want to do for him, the rugby club, the tractor run, is testament to who he was. It fills me with so much pride.”

Miss McMurray added: “The response and support from Malvern, it makes me feel so proud. Everybody just loved him. He was there for anybody.”

Another tractor run has been planned as a tribute to Harry.

On Saturday, April 25, tractors and other farming vehicles will gather at Brickbarn Farm on Hanley Road and make their way through the town.

They will finish at Madresfield Club, where there will be a raffle, tombola and refreshments, with all proceeds going to Midlands Air Ambulance.

“The way the whole community has come together is amazing,” Ms McMurray said. “I can’t thank everybody enough.”

Mr Moss said: “I’m immensely grateful. It’s another day that’s going to stir up a lot of emotions but it’s a fitting tribute to Harry.”
