Mr Smith, who joined the Hindlip Lane office in 2023, works on commercial mineral deals and delivering technical geological services across the UK.
He said: “I’m really proud to have contributed to the minerals team’s success over the last three years and to have expanded our service offering to clients.
“It’s fantastic to have this recognised with a promotion.
“My ambition is to continue developing as a specialist in minerals, waste and land contamination while taking on more responsibility in leadership and mentoring to help the team continue to grow.
“Fisher German has given me the space to develop my expertise while feeling part of a supportive and friendly culture.
“For those thinking of joining, it’s a place to be challenged in the right ways and trusted with responsibility all while being given opportunities to make an impact.”

The Worcester promotions are part of 77 that Fisher German has made across all areas of the company after a busy start to 2026.
The year has seen the firm win a major contract to deliver a range of consultancy services for Great British Energy — Nuclear as it builds the UK’s first small modular nuclear reactor at Wylfa in north Wales.
Fisher German has also continued high-quality instructions in its agency, advisory, infrastructure and property management divisions.
Senior partner Richard Benson said: “These promotions give us the opportunity to highlight the achievements of Fisher German’s hard-working colleagues who have delivered for clients, their teams and colleagues.
“The 77 promotions are a testament to the dedication and high standard of delivery across all our divisions.
“I would like to congratulate every colleague who has been promoted which helps to ensure we continue to build a strong future for Fisher German.”
