VISITORS will be able to explore one of Worcestershire’s most historic attractions free of charge as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days festival.
Hartlebury Castle is offering free admission on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, giving families and history enthusiasts the chance to discover the site and its collections without paying an entry fee.
The special event forms part of Heritage Open Days, a national celebration of England’s heritage, history and communities.
Visitors will be able to delve into the castle’s rich past, uncover stories about its former inhabitants and learn more about Worcestershire’s history through museum collections and interactive exhibits.

Guests will also have the opportunity to explore the castle’s grounds and gardens, while younger visitors can enjoy the adventure playground.
Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day at Hayley’s Kitchen and the castle’s pop-up café.
To help manage visitor numbers, free tickets must be booked in advance.
The castle has organised timed entry sessions across the two days, with last admission at 4pm.
Session times are: Friday, September 11, 10am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 5pm; Saturday, September 12, 11am to 2pm and 2pm to 5pm.
Organisers are encouraging visitors to take advantage of the free event and explore one of the county’s best-known historic landmarks.
