A police officer who shared hundreds of images of herself on OnlyFans and disclosed confidential arrest information has been sacked.
The West Mercia Police constable, who cannot be named due to an anonymity order, appeared before a misconduct hearing panel on Tuesday (May 12) facing allegations of breaching several of the police’s professional standards.
The panel heard that, after making an arrest on December 7, 2021, the officer shared the details of an arrested man, including his name, that he was remaining in custody overnight, and that he would appear in court the following morning, with someone she knew personally.
She also made offensive comments about the partner of the arrested man to this person.
In mitigation, the officer’s Police Federation representative argued that person A also knew the person who was arrested, that they had witnessed the arrest, and that there were no other data breaches in her two decades as an officer, describing it as a ‘massive over exaggeration’.
Chief Constable Richard Cooper said: “The exchange was instigated by the officer.
“There is evidence that she was responding to questions.
“I cannot accept that the officer was telling her something she was already aware of.
“Disclosing this information was an abuse of power.”
He described her actions as gross misconduct, but on the lower end.
The panel also heard that, between 2022 and 2023, the officer was involved in an OnlyFans account with her estranged husband.
The account contained over 700 sexual photos and videos of her, but did not include her name, face, or anything which could identify her as a police officer.
The panel heard she sent messages to her estranged husband including: ‘a good day’s work done’ and ‘Why did we not do this when we were together’.
Her representative said she accepted the allegation was gross misconduct.
In mitigation, they said she had just lost £12,000 in a poor investment and was concerned about her finances.
She was offered a chance by her estranged husband, who was also a serving officer at the time, to start the OnlyFans account.
She saw the opportunity as a win-win situation, because she would make money and get to spend time with her husband.
While Chief Con Cooper said there was evidence that her husband was the driving force, and she never directly interacted with the account, he did note the sustained planning required.
He said: “Taking that level of serious into account, there only conclusion I can reach is your immediate dismissal.
“I am sincerely sorry and I thank you for your service.”
The officer’s dismissal from the force means she will also be placed on the College of Policing’s barred list.
Prior to the hearing, an anonymity order was made which prevented the name or any details of the officer being made public.
Worcester News made a formal request for the officer to be identified, however, this was refused by the chief constable, and we cannot disclose the reason behind the refusal.
