A PAEDOPHILE who, groomed, raped and sexually abused a young girl has been jailed for more than two decades.
Shaul Samson appeared at Worcester Crown Court to be sentenced for 19 sexual offences against a girl who was under the age of 11.
Samson put the victim, who receives lifelong anonymity, through ‘a campaign of rape’ over the course of 13 months.

The court heard that Samson, who had come to the UK on a work visa in 2022, had groomed the girl and started by asking her to lift her top for him, but gradually escalated the depravity of his abuse.
He would message the girl using codewords in text messages to get her alone so he could commit the abuse, and he would get angry with her when she would not comply with his demands.
By the time he was arrested, Samson had raped the girl at least 12 times.
The victim told a teacher at her school about what Samson had been doing to her, something Judge Seanin Gilmore said ‘showed considerable courage’.

In a victim impact statement, one of the girl’s family members said: “The truth will follow him as a shadow that will never lift.”
Samson’s defence argued he was previously of good character, having never been convicted of any previous offences, expressed remorse for his actions, and had experienced a traumatic upbringing.
The 32-year-old, who is currently imprisoned at HMP Hewell but previously lived in Field Barn Lane, Cropthorne, was found guilty unanimously of the following offences in May:
Sentencing, Her Honour Judge Gilmore said: “You continued to deny the allegations and said the victim made it up.
“I do not accept your expression of remorse. I have read the character references, but they carry little weight.
“I have no doubt this was a campaign of rape. It was gross, frequent, persistent, and prolonged abuse.
“Your crimes will undoubtedly have a lifelong impact on this child.”
Samson was sentenced to 21 years in prison.
Because Judge Gilmore found him to be a dangerous offender who posed a risk to the public, she also sentenced him to an extended period of four years on licence once he is released from prison, and he will be subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
