A HEATWAVE has been forecast for Worcestershire with temperatures set to rise “well above the June average”.
Forecasters have said temperatures could rise to 30C next week as warmer weather sweeps across the county.
Temperatures could reach the mid-to-late twenties by the weekend, with highs of 30 °C on Monday (June 22).

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Turning more settled into the weekend as high pressure starts to build from the south.
“Sunny spells and feeling very warm with temperatures well above the June average.”
No weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office yet but hotter weather could have an impact on the health and well-being of some people.
The government has issued guidance on staying safe in hot weather, including drinking plenty of fluids and limiting alcohol intake.
The Met Office has also published broader advice on water safety, emphasising the need to ‘Stay together, stay close’ and the risks of cold water shock.
Residents have been told to expect high UV levels.
