A garden centre is getting into the festive spirit early with the launch of its Christmas department.
Burford House Garden Centre, part of the British Garden Centres group, will kick off its celebrations with an opening weekend on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, promising “From enchanting decorations to festive family fun,”
Santa Claus will cut the ribbon at 9am on Saturday to officially open the garden centre’s Christmas wonderland.
Paul Benson, centre manager at Burford House Garden Centre, said: “Christmas at British Garden Centres is about so much more than decorations; it’s about bringing people together and making the season the best experience for everyone.
“Alongside our expanded Fern Christmas range and a fantastic selection of gifts for all ages, we’re proud to host festive events that families can enjoy year after year.
“Whether you’re shopping for the perfect present, finding inspiration for your home, or making memories, there’s something special for everyone.”

The first 50 groups through the doors will receive a golden ticket for a free bauble, and visitors can enjoy seasonal treats and live festive music throughout the day.
The garden centre will also unveil its expanded Fern Christmas and Lighting collection, exclusive to British Garden Centres, featuring a broad range of lights, decorations and home accessories.
Shoppers can browse a wide selection of toys, games, puzzles, homeware and pet gifts, as well as winter plants and living gifts.
Family Card members will receive a 15 per cent discount across the entire Christmas range during the opening weekend.
Festive dining experiences will also be available throughout the season, with bookings now open.
British Garden Centres is the UK’s largest family-owned garden centre group, with 80 centres nationwide and more than 3,500 employees.
The group was founded in 1990 by brothers Charles and Robert Stubbs with the opening of Woodthorpe Garden Centre.
