THE University of Worcester will be erecting a new building after receiving prior approval from the city council.
Prior approval has been granted by Worcester City Council for a new storage building at the University of Worcester’s St John’s Campus.
The single-storey unit will be built next to the Sheila Scott Building, which houses the university’s Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre.

The centre supports health education through simulated learning environments for students, staff, and clinical practitioners.
The new storage facility will provide space for essential equipment used in the centre.

The application was submitted under permitted development rights, which allow certain types of development without the need for full planning permission, subject to prior approval from the council.
No objections were raised by the council’s tree and landscape officer or the highways authority.
