PLANS to build 78 homes on the site of a former factory in Pershore are one step closer.
Keepmoat Homes Limited has submitted a reserved matters planning application to build the homes on the former Atlas Works on Station Road.
Outline planning permission has already been granted for the homes. This reserved matters application provides further details such as layout, landscaping, and what the homes will actually look like.

Wychavon District Council is currently running a public consultation on the plans, which will end on October 22
Plans state: “The submitted scheme represents a positive redevelopment of a previously developed brownfield site in a sustainable location close to Pershore railway station, Station Road and local services.
“The proposals will replace the former industrial use with a coherent residential neighbourhood comprising new homes, internal streets, parking, public open space, SuDS, landscaping, boundary treatments and associated infrastructure.
“The proposed amount and mix of development provides 78 dwellings, comprising 23 two-bedroom houses, 37 three-bedroom houses and 18 four-bedroom houses.

“This provides a strong emphasis on smaller and medium-sized homes, with 60 of the 78 dwellings providing three bedrooms or fewer, supporting the creation of a balanced residential community.
“The vision is to create a high-quality, context-led residential development that brings a redundant brownfield site back into beneficial use.
“The proposal will deliver an attractive new neighbourhood with a balanced mix of homes, clear internal street structure, public open space, sustainable drainage, biodiversity enhancements and a sensitive response to its surroundings.”
