A care home where residents are “never lonely” is celebrating a glowing inspection report.
Dorset House in Droitwich Spa has been rated “good” overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and “outstanding” for being well-led.
The report, published in September, praised the home for creating a warm and supportive environment where residents feel valued and connected.
Carol Sabell, home manager at Dorset House, said: “I’m really proud to be part of the Dorset House team.
“So much care and thought goes into making this a special place for residents, and it’s lovely to see the team’s hard work recognised.
“Good care is about the little things as much as anything else, from sharing a laugh to making time for a conversation.
“Those moments help make Dorset House feel like home, and it’s wonderful to be part of a team that puts them at the heart of everyday life.”

One resident told inspectors: “You’re never lonely here and that’s important.”
The CQC gave Dorset House “good” ratings in the categories of safe, effective, caring, and responsive.
Inspectors highlighted the positive relationships between residents and staff, the personalised approach to care, and the inclusive culture promoted by the home’s leadership team.
The report also noted the supportive working environment at the home, where staff feel valued and listened to, and where strong leadership drives continuous improvement.
Dorset House, operated by Rotherwood Healthcare, offers residential, nursing, and dementia care.
The home said it “remains committed” to providing a welcoming environment where residents can maintain their independence, enjoy daily activities, and stay connected to the wider community.
