Nature reserve set for accessibility improvements

Plans have been unveiled for improvements at Perry Wood Nature Reserve.

Worcester City Council announced the upgrades, which aim to enhance accessibility and visitor experience.

An old barrier at the Liverpool Road entrance will be replaced with new kissing gates, fencing, and a field gate.

The project is part of a broader initiative that includes installing new waymarkers and route discs through the woodland area, planting native hedges and trees, and bringing in four new oak benches.

The council said these upgrades will make the reserve “even more welcoming” while supporting the natural environment.
