A vehicle fire has caused miles of delays for drivers on the M5 in Somerset.
Firefighters have been spotted on the southbound carriageway battling a blaze this morning (Tuesday).
A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Traffic is held on the M5 southbound between junction 19 and junction 20 near Clevedon due to a vehicle fire.
“Emergency crews are on scene working to control the blaze.
“Delays are around 45 minutes, with approximately four miles of queueing.
“Please allow extra time for your journey.”
It is understood that, by 7.30am, two lanes of the carriageway had reopened, while firefighters remained at the scene.
