INVESTIGATIONS remain ongoing after a pedestrian was killed in a crash near Worcester over four months ago.
West Mercia Police continue to investigate the death of a 78-year-old woman who was hit by a Mercedes A-Class on Droitwich Road, near the Bull Inn in Fernhill Heath, on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Following the fatal crash, a 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was released under police investigation.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police confirmed the investigation was ongoing, stating: “The person who was arrested was released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.”
West Mercia Police, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and an air ambulance all attended the crash.

“Crews arrived to discover a woman, the pedestrian, in a critical condition and already receiving basic life support from police colleagues,” said a spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service soon after the crash.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service added: “Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Worcester Fire Station were called to an RTC (road traffic collision) in Droitwich Road, Fernhill Heath at 5.59pm on November 30.
“Police, ambulance and air ambulance also attended.”
