I tried Kidderminster’s new Nando’s and this is what I thought

KIDDERMINSTER’s new Nando’s is officially open, and I gave it a try to see if it was cheeky.

Kidderminster’s new Nando’s on Riverside Walk officially opened on Wednesday (July 1) at 11.30am.

I would say that it is not an overstatement to say that Nando’s is one of the UK’s most well-known and well-loved restaurant chains, and a new location in Kidderminster is a welcome addition to the town centre.

To make sure that the new restaurant was up to the standard that many expect from a Nando’s, I popped down to Riverside Walk for lunch.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the restaurant’s friendly staff, who promptly showed me to my table and handed me a menu that was packed full of popular PERi-PERi dishes

This included the Chicken Butterfly, 1/2 Chicken, Sunset Burger, and Chicken Wrap.

After several minutes of ‘umming and ahing’ I settled on the Fino Pitta, which included two flame-grilled chicken thighs, grilled halloumi cheese, caramelised red onion relish, garlic aioli, and lettuce.

As I had worked up quite the midday appetite, I opted for two sides, Nando’s legendary PERi-Salted Chips and the Hearty Grains, which include warm mixed grains with green chickpeas, butternut squash and dried cranberries, tossed in lemon and oil and drizzled with creamy dressing.

Now, before you laugh at me for ordering the Hearty Grains, instead of some of the popular sides like Garlic Bread or Spicy Rice, don’t knock them until you try them, and I would definitely recommend them from the new Kidderminster Nando’s.

All in all, I really enjoyed my lunch at the new Nando’s on Riverside Walk.

If you’re looking for a hearty lunch or a nice spot for an evening meal, look no further than Kidderminster’s new Nando’s
