A hospice has received a generous funding boost to support its ongoing work.
St Richard’s Hospice has been awarded a £75,000 donation from The Eveson Trust, which will help fund its care of patients and families. The gift will support the hospice’s work across Worcestershire, where it supports more than 3,000 patients, family members and bereaved people each year.
Abby Holliday, director of business and income generation at the hospice, said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous donation which will help us continue to care for patients and loved ones when they need us most.

“Each year it costs around £12 million to keep our services running and 80% of that is raised through voluntary support, including the generosity of organisations like The Eveson Trust.
“Our heartfelt thanks goes to The Eveson Trust and everyone in our community who supports our care. The backing of our community remains vital for our future.”
St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers.
