The homes will be a mixture of 1-bedroom to 4-bedroom, with at least 40% being affordable housing.
Plans state: “The site is accessed from Allens Hill (A44), an access shared with a large mushroom growing facility, which is under construction.
“Extensive soft landscaping is included within the proposals to frame the new built form and help it to blend with its rural surroundings. This will also positively contribute to the overall provision of green infrastructure and opportunities for ecological enhancements.
“Along the western, southern and eastern boundaries of the site, there are substantial landscaped areas including trees and enhanced hedgerows, which will provide a potential wildlife corridor, contribute positively to visual amenity and enhance the open spaces in that location. As part of the open space strategy, a proposed orchard/community space.
“There are also several connections provided to the Public Rights of Way (PRoW) network which wraps around the site.
“The site also includes a Local Area for Play (LAP) on the eastern and southern edges of the site, as well as a location for public art.
“Every property is provided with secure cycle storage.
“Parking is provided for every dwelling, a mixed approach has been taken to accommodate the parking without having an adverse impact on the street scene. This includes some frontage parking, some tandem side parking, some in a small courtyard and some opposite dwellings, broken up by landscaping.
“A mushroom farm is located to the north of the site, and a generous buffer is provided on the northern boundary of the site.
“It will be noted a connection has been provided to a neighbouring parcel of land. This will be subject to a separate application.”
