A new burger chain has opened its doors, drawing crowds and excitement.
SoBe Burger launched in Worcester at 4pm on September 3, with queues forming hours before opening as people hoped to be among the first 100 customers to receive a free burger.

Owen Prince, the first person in line, said: “It is a different type of burger place.
“There are a lot more different types of fries and different types of food.
“It’s just different from McDonald’s and Popeyes, and that kind of thing.
“I’ve been here since 2.20pm, so an hour and a half, and I’m very excited.”
Jeremy Paige, who also queued for the launch, said: “It’s exciting.
“It’s something new in Worcester.
“I know it’s just another takeaway, but it’s not one of those takeaways that everywhere has.
“It’s just nice to have another option that’s different.
“I did hear that they were giving away free burgers; it seems a lot of young people also got the message.
“Hopefully I got here in time.”
SoBe describes itself as a “Miami-inspired smash burger sensation,” serving smashed beef burgers, fried chicken, loaded fries, and house-made sauces.
The chain was founded in London in 2018 by friends Tom and Alex, who were inspired by Miami’s burger culture during a trip to the United States.
SoBe now operates 19 locations across the UK, including sites in Nottingham, Edinburgh, Plymouth, Swindon, and Norwich.
The Worcester branch has opened in a unit previously advertised as the future home of Fluff and Co, though it remains unclear what happened to those plans.
SoBe recently reached the finals of the National Burger Awards with its double bacon black garlic burger.
