New bistro ‘offering something Worcester does not have’ to open in city centre

A NEW restaurant is set to open in the centre of Worcester later this year and ‘will offer something the city does not yet have’.

New bistro La’Mour is currently being built on Barbourne Road and is on track to open in September.

A combined expansion of a wedding business, La’Mour Events, and Indian restaurant, Rajkot, on The Tything, La’Mour will offer shisha, which the owners claim Worcester does not currently have.

Tahmid Hussain, founder of La’Mour, said: “We will be opening a new bistro on Barbourne Road.

“We are hoping the shop will be ready by the end of July, the first week of August.

“Then, a soft launch at the start of September, and a grand opening at the end of September.

“We have another restaurant on The Tything, Rajkot, but my main business is in the wedding industry, La’Mour events.

“We are getting busier and wanted to expand into something different.

“We will be offering lunch and brunch, and hopefully shisha in the garden, something that Worcester does not currently have.

“We will also offer dry hire. Honestly, we are over the moon.

“Ever since we first started the wedding business three years ago, we have always wanted a shop.

“We’ve finally found a place after two or three years.”

While in the early stages of construction, digital renders of the bistro show a large window at the front of the business, with a sign offering coffee, brunch, lunch, desserts, and wine.

La’Mour Bistro is currently searching for a chef, barista, and front-of-house staff.
