A UNIQUE family business has opened a new shop in the centre of Worcester.
Best Aquarium Shrimps UK officially opened this morning (September 12) on The Shambles.
Owned and operated by Peter Sobotka and his family, the business had been run from the family home in St Johns for more than a decade, and has now expanded into a purpose-built store.

Mr Sobotka said: “It is great.
“I love it now that the shop is open.
“I did not expect it to be so busy; to be fair, it has only been a couple of hours.
“It has been good so far.
“Having a shop is great because we have more customers in person.
“It allows us to have more face-to-face conversations.
“It allows us to explain more, and people will not get shrimp when they do not know enough about caring for them, which is great for the hobby.
“It’s easier for everyone.”
Best Aquarium Shrimps UK offers a range of neocaradina and caradina shrimp, including rarer colour morphs such as snowball, galaxy red, red tiger orange eye, and more.
Daphne Morris, who visited the shop this morning, said: “Honestly, it’s just really interesting.
“I don’t have a fish tank or anything like that, but when I heard about the shop opening, I said to myself I would have to come and take a look.
“It’s quite niche, but it’s well put together and well worth a look.”
