A farm attraction is passing on VAT savings to visitors.
Churchfields Farm, near Droitwich, has decided to pass the government’s VAT relief on visitor attractions directly to families.
This will mean a 25 per cent reduction in Fun Farm entry prices across three weekends in June and July, with families needing to book online to receive the discount.
The farm’s summer kids’ menu in the Cow Shed Café has also been re-priced to reflect the same VAT saving and will remain at the reduced price throughout August.
The farm, located in Salwarpe, is a fifth-generation family business.
Gillian Kerton, who runs Churchfields with her family, said: “When the VAT relief was introduced, we had a straightforward choice — keep the saving or pass it on.
“For us, there was only ever one answer. A day out should feel like a treat, not a calculation.
“We wanted every family who visits Churchfields this summer to arrive knowing they’re getting a genuinely good deal — and to leave wanting to come back.”
The 25 per cent discount on Fun Farm entry applies to online bookings made in advance for the weekends of June 27-28, July 4-5, and July 11-12.
From July 18, when the Worcestershire school holidays begin, the Fun Farm opens every day until August 31.
There will be further additions to the summer offer such as the maize maze now included in the standard ticket price for the first time, daily foam parties, and 2025 prices held across the board.
Families booking online during the summer holidays will also receive a free return visit code automatically, valid until the end of August.
The farm attracts visitors from across Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands.
Its Fun Farm offer includes go-karts, giant bouncers, a tractor and trailer-themed adventure playground with zip wire, a fairy trail, animal paddocks, and den building.
This summer will also see the arrival of new Highland calves in the animal paddocks, adding to the farm’s popular animal experiences.
The Cow Shed Café will be open throughout.
