An AWARD-winning garden centre is “incredibly proud” to be celebrating its milestone anniversary with giveaways and events.
St Peter’s Garden Centre, which first opened on Farm Pear Tree Drive in 1986, will be celebrating 40 years in full bloom this May Bank Holiday.
The site was first opened by Tony Blake as a small local nursery and garden sundries shop for the community, and has since grown into the vibrant Garden Centre it is today.

The garden centre will also be taking advantage of the warm weather with Poppy’s Farm hosting a BBQ from 11am with a performance from Worcester Male Choir on Saturday.
Since its opening, the business has secured a place in the top 25 British Garden Centres by the Garden Centre Association (GCA).
It also celebrated success after clinching joint third place in the Catering Excellence Award, competing against hundreds of garden centres and was named one of the most Instagrammable sites by the SEO agency Add People.

Mr Blake added: “Looking ahead, we’re so excited about the future.
“We’ll continue to invest and improve the experience for all our customers, developing new ideas, and making St. Peter’s a destination that families can enjoy for years to come.
“If the last 40 years are anything to go by, the future is full of opportunity.”
