A WOMAN in her 70s has had her purse snatched in St Johns.
It is believed a member of the public shouted ‘pickpocket’ shortly before the incident near St Johns Library at around 2.30 pm on August 19.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Did you witness a theft in St Johns?
“Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman’s purse was stolen on Bromyard Road in St Johns.
“The theft occurred on Wednesday 19 August at 2.30pm.
“The purse was stolen from a rucksack, as the woman in her seventies was walking towards Bromyard Terrace from the Bull Ring, close to St Johns Library.
“Police are keen to identity two people who were seen in the area at the time, and may have witnessed the incident.
“It is believed a member of the public, shouted ‘pick pocket’ or words similar.
