A POPULAR Worcester restaurant has temporarily closed its doors for a major refurbishment.
Italian chain restaurant Zizzi Worcester, based in Cathedral Square, closed today (September 21) for what the business has described as a “seriously exciting glow-up”.
The restaurant is expected to remain closed for around two weeks while work takes place to give the venue a new look.
The announcement follows concerns raised on social media that the Worcester site had closed for good.

In a message to customers, the business said: “Zizzi Worcester is getting a seriously exciting glow-up.
“We’re giving the restaurant a bold new look, so we’ll be closing our doors from September 21 for a couple of weeks while we work our magic.”
What date will Zizzi in Worcester reopen?
The restaurant has confirmed it plans to reopen on October 6.
The announcement added: “We’ll be back on 6th October with a fresh new look, and of course, all your Zizzi favourites.
“Book your table now and be among the first to check out our new look.

“We can’t wait to welcome you back.”
The closure means diners will be unable to visit the Worcester branch while refurbishment work is carried out.
Zizzi has not yet revealed specific details about the changes customers can expect, but has promised a “bold new look” when the restaurant reopens next month.
Customers can already book tables for the reopening from October 6 through the restaurant’s website.
