Classic British comedy shows are making a comeback on UK television for free, with one returning to screens for the first time in over 10 years.
In September, Rewind TV will dedicate the month to four popular series.
It will bring back a line-up of much-loved shows, including Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Time Gentlemen Please, Grumpy Old Men, and Doctor at Sea.

Harry Hill’s TV Burp among 4 comedies returning to UK TV in September
Jonathan Moore, co-founder of Rewind TV, said: “Bringing back programmes viewers simply haven’t had the chance to enjoy for years is what Rewind TV is all about.
“We’re especially delighted to welcome Harry Hill’s TV Burp back to UK television after more than a decade, alongside much-loved favourites including Time Gentlemen Please, Grumpy Old Men and Doctor at Sea.”
Rewind TV’s comedy line-up follows its August focus on cult horror programming.
All four shows will air on the channel from early September, with the dates as follows:
Harry Hill’s TV Burp is a notable return, with it back on UK screens for the first time in more than a decade.
The comedy clip show saw the comedian look at a previous week’s schedule of television programming across a range of genres, with episodes often featuring sketches and parodied scenes.
It ran on ITV for 11 years from 2001 to 2012 and won three BAFTAs along the way, plus a shelf of British Comedy Awards.

Rewind TV is a free-to-air television channel in the UK that broadcasts classic and vintage British and American television shows, comedies, and cult series.
It first launched on Sky in May 2024 and expanded to Freeview later the same year, in September.
It also arrived on Freesat in June, meaning it now reaches every major over-the-air free TV platform in the country.
