Police update on Worcester stabbing after boy injured inside house

POLICE have issued an update after a boy was injured in a stabbing in Worcester.

There has been an increased police presence in Northfield Street after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed inside a home on Monday night (August 17).

The boy’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

On Wednesday morning (August 19), West Mercia Police confirmed that the man had been bailed.

“He has been bailed pending further enquiries,” a police spokesperson said.
