American military plane seen flying over Worcestershire

AN American military plane was seen flying low over Worcestershire.

The Rockwell B-1 Lancer was spotted by residents in Worcester and Malvern as it soared overhead on Tuesday evening (August 18).

The aircraft, owned by the United States Air Force (USAF), is a supersonic bomber with variable sweep wing.

It was first used in combat during the 1990 Gulf War and is known to regularly deploy to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
