ONE of a car brand’s longest-serving dealerships has celebrated a major milestone anniversary.
Mazda has celebrated the 50th anniversary of one of its longest-standing dealerships at Baynhall Garage on Main Road between Kempsey and Worcester.
Edwards Group established its first-ever manufacturer relationship with Mazda in 1976 and became a multi-franchise dealer in 1999.

To commemorate this occasion, a special community celebration took place over the weekend at its Worcestershire branch.

Alison Byers, general manager at Edwards Mazda, said: “As a family-run business, we are proud of the values that have guided us for five decades and the relationships we have built with our customers and colleagues.

The site is a family-run business with Adrian Edwards as the managing director, Sandra Edwards overseeing Human Resources and Tom Edwards, who is currently undertaking an apprenticeship in Service and Parts to gain experience across the business.
Hosted by the local radio station, Sunshine Radio, a special community celebration took place featuring a variety of entertainment, such as: food vans, a DJ, a magician, and a charity tombola that raised more than £200 for St Richard’s Hospice.

Special Mazda MX-5 designs were on display in the showroom and featured artwork created by local primary school pupils at Kempsey Primary School.
Edwards Mazda continues to play an active role in the community by supporting charities, schools, and several sporting organisations across Worcestershire.
Historic Mazda models were on display, including the Mazda RX-7, showcasing the history and heritage of the brand.
After presenting a commemorative plaque to Edwards Mazda, Jeremy Thomson, managing director at Mazda Motors UK, said: “Reaching a 50-year milestone is a remarkable achievement, and it was a pleasure to present this commemorative plaque to Adrian and the entire Edwards Mazda team.”
