The University of Worcester has been named the UK’s top multi-subject institution for graduate employment success.
It earned the title in the latest Longitudinal Educational Outcomes (LEO) data from the Government.
These statistics show it leads the country in sustained employment or further study one year after graduation, outperforming all other UK universities offering a broad range of subjects.
Since the LEO data first launched in 2017, the University of Worcester has averaged the top-spot for multi-subject universities for sustained employment, with or without further study one, three or five years after graduation.
Professor David Green CBE, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive at the University of Worcester, said: “To be recognised once again as the leading multi-subject university in the UK for sustained graduate employment is a tremendous achievement for our graduates as well as staff and employer partners.
“These results demonstrate the lasting value of a Worcester education and our unwavering focus on helping students succeed during their studies and throughout their careers.”
According to the 2026 Graduate Outcomes Survey, 95 per cent of Worcester graduates are in work or further study 15 months after completing their degree.
In 2025, it was shortlisted for University of the Year at the Times Higher Education Awards, and in 2026, it made the shortlist at the Graduate Futures Institute’s Academic Employability Awards.
The results have been praised by leaders in the city.
Sharon Smith, Chief Executive of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and an alumnus of the University of Worcester, said: “These results are fantastic and a real vote of confidence in the quality of education and support that the University provides to its students.
“As a graduate of the University myself, I know first-hand the positive impact it can have on people’s lives and careers.”
Lynn Denham, Leader of Worcester City Council, added: “Congratulations to the University of Worcester for yet again being rated ‘top for jobs’ in the UK.
“Well done to all the graduates who have successfully moved into employment and are now sharing their skills and love of Worcester with others in the workplace.
“It is good to know that employers value the education and training that our university provides. We are lucky that there are so many opportunities in the city to be supported into better jobs.”
